Renegade Running

WHYYEAH

Individual plans for each athlete and their event. From your first 5K to Boston to HYROX PRs.

Renegade Running · Built for you, not a template

The difference

YOU. THE EVENT.

Cookie-cutter plans are for people who are not you. Run programming is individual — your calendar, your body, your start line — and I cater to that. The process should be fun, challenging, and actually work for you.

My mission is getting people into running. I want to prove it does not just change the body — mentally, it has the right answers for a lot of what life throws.

5K to marathon PRs. HYROX from first-timers to lining up against the best. Athletes I coach have PRd, qualified for Boston, and gone under 70 minutes.

The week moves when your week does. WHY YEAH is the answer when it gets loud.

What I write

PROGRAMS

One coach. Your event. The plan is never a download.

01

Start running

Never been a runner. Coming back after years off. First 5K on the calendar. We start where you are — walk/run, then running, then racing.

Beginners welcome

02

5K to marathon

A plan built around your A-race, not a generic PDF. Athletes I coach have run PRs and qualified for Boston. The work matches the distance and your life.

03

HYROX

Run plus stations, programmed as one race. Sled, ergs, wall balls, and the 8K of running in between. I have coached athletes under 70 minutes.

Race-day specific

How it works

THE WEEK

You, the event, the work. I write the week for that — and I move it when life does.

  1. 01

    Intake

History, schedule, the race or HYROX on the calendar. I write for that, not a template.

  2. 02

    The plan

Quality, long runs, stations, strength — stacked for your event, not a generic PDF.

  3. 03

    The week

You train. I watch how it lands. We adjust. That is the whole job.

What a week can look like

Two or three run/walks. The mix changes every three to four weeks. Off days are cross training — legs on run days, upper body when we don't run.

  • Mon

    Cross + upper

Off the legs. Bike, row, or swim, then upper body.

  • Tue

    Run / walk + legs

First of two or three run/walks. Leg work after. The ratio of running to walking shifts every 3–4 weeks.

  • Wed

    Cross + upper

Another off-run day. Cross training and upper body.

  • Thu

    Run / walk + legs

Second run/walk. Legs on the days we run. Same progression as Tuesday.

  • Sat

Longest run / walk + legs

The week's furthest session. Still walk/run if that is honest.

  • Sun

    Off / mobility

    Nothing heroic. Show up Monday.

TESTIMONIALS

Athletes I coach. The events they showed up for.

I started a training program with Kristoffer 3 years ago. At that time, I had zero long distance running experience. Having been a weight lifter the majority of my life, distance running always seemed too hard and out of reach as a hobby or sport.

Kristoffer gave me small win objectives to hit at the start of the program and built off of those achievements for growth. Within 6 months I was able to regularly train 6 mile runs and shaved off about 2min/mile on my race pace. Within 8 months I cruised through my first half marathon. Best of all, I lost 30lbs and had more energy than I had as a teenager!

Kristoffer gives you great coaching not just on running, but how to manage stress during intense exercise. It gives you confidence and belief in the training program and yourself as an athlete. I cannot recommend him enough as a coach!

First half marathon

I started working with Bubba during the pandemic. I had previously only run for sport and had goals of doing my first half marathon. Bubba put together a smart and intentional program that got me to the finish line and kept me injury free in the process. I've now done 3 half marathons with Bubba in my corner and would recommend his coaching to anyone!

Tara

3 half marathons

I can't recommend Bubba enough. He's been my coach for over a year now and has coached me through my first cycling race in 2024, two HYROX competitions, and two half marathons.

I'm around 195 lbs with a more muscular build, so I'm definitely not someone who is naturally built to be a distance runner. Since working with Bubba, though, I've made huge improvements in both my endurance and speed while still being able to maintain the other areas of fitness that are important to me.

What really separates Bubba is how personalized his coaching is. The plans are truly built around you, your goals, your current fitness level, and your life outside of training. I have a family and plenty of other commitments, and he understands that training has to fit into real life rather than take it over. His communication is awesome, he's always willing to adjust when needed, and you can tell he genuinely cares about the people he coaches.

His coaching is top tier, whether you're just getting started or you're an experienced athlete chasing a new goal. If you're looking for a coach who knows his stuff, communicates well, and will build a plan specifically for YOU, Bubba is your guy. I'd recommend him to anyone.

2 HYROX · 2 half marathons

I started working with Coach Bubba at the beginning of this year, about six months after having surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles. At the time, I was basically starting from scratch—just testing what my body could handle and trying to get comfortable running again.

Fast forward to now, and I'm training for a half marathon and two HYROX events. The progress I've made has been incredible, and I truly don't think I would've been able to get back to running this quickly or handle the amount of running I'm doing now without Coach Bubba's guidance.

He's done a great job of building me back up gradually, pushing me when I need it, and giving me a structured plan that I can trust. Having all of my workouts scheduled through TrainingPeaks and automatically pushed to my watch has also made following the plan extremely easy.

More than anything, I'm just grateful to be active, healthy, and running again. Going from not being able to run at all to preparing for a half marathon and HYROX events in less than a year is something I'm extremely proud of, and Coach Bubba has played a huge part in getting me here.
